The Queen, King and Deluxe studios have a toaster, kettle, electric frying pan and a microwave.
The family studios have a double hot plate in addition to what the Deluxe and Queen studios have. All crockery and cutlery are provided.
There is also a free BBQ on site by the pool.
The Queen studios are slightly smaller and are interconnecting.
The maximum occupancy of the Queen studios are 3 persons.
The Deluxe Studios are slightly larger and can accommodate up to 4 people with the addition of a sofabed.
No. All of our units are on the ground floor, so no need to carry luggage or shopping upstairs.
Definitely. Children under 2 years can stay for free. We have portacots available with linen at a cost of $25 per stay. The pool is completely fenced off for safety.
Of course. We can book all the tours in the area for you and give unbiased information to choose the best tour for you. We then add the cost to your room account. At no extra charge to you! A one stop shop for all tours in the area. We have no affiliation with any tour operator. By booking with us, you would be supporting the little person!
Yes. It is a free form outdoor saltwater pool. And it is heated during the cooler months, June to October.

Yes, there is free undercover parking outside the units. Parking spaces are not numbered, so you can park anywhere there is a free spot near your unit. Height clearance is 2.6 metres.
Yes, depending on the height. Height clearance for undercover parking is 2.6 metres. Alternatively, as we are on a service road, boats, trucks and campervans can be left out the front of the motel.
No. We are strictly no pets.
Yes, we have one unit that has been modified to be mobility friendly. Contact us for the measurements and facilities. There is also a designated disabled parking space in front of the unit.
We have a strict no party and no excessive noise policy which is enforced. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, please ensure that noise* and/or music levels are kept to a reasonable level at all times. The number of non paying guests/invitees is limited to 2 per unit and they must leave before 8pm. Parties of any description are not permitted.
We reserve the right to expel any guest/invitee that disrupts the enjoyment of other guests through noise or behavior that causes damage to the unit or building. No refund of any tariff paid will be provided.
*Definition of Noise: If other people can hear your music, TV and or voices outside your unit after 10:00pm, then it is noise.
A credit card guarantee is required at time of booking. Please note that the hotel will process the full accommodation charge onto your nominated credit card 24 hours prior to arrival. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel bookings made on a declined credit card. All non-refundable, pre-paid rates will be charged upon booking.

It would be impossible to do better in Pt Douglas for the money. These guys know all about hospitality & could give lessons on how to run accommodation with good humour, knowledge of local attractions and attention to detail in presentation of the property. This was our second visit to the Lazy Lizard and we returned for a reason - immaculately clean and spacious rooms and grounds, sparkling clean pool, clean and well equipped BBQ area, ice machine & laundry all within a short distance of the hub of Port D. Aiden and Alex were short staffed and extremely busy but still managed a laugh & chat with guests. Highly recommended,
Home away from Home
My husband and I and teenage daughter had two nights here. On arrival Aidan happily gave us the run down on best sites to visit and because of that we made the most of our time up in the Cape. Our room and surrounds was absolutely spotless, beds extremely comfortable and can’t think of anything out of place. The pool area looked very inviting although we didn’t get time to swim. Location is very good and not too far for walking or short drive into the main shopping area and beach. Quiet location and there is a noise policy after 10pm which is great. Parking just outside room. Aidan and Alex thank you for doing such a splendid job on all fronts with your motel. You should be proud.
Loved the Lazy Lizard
Wow, we had a mix up at our accommodation and we were taken to stay at the Lazy Lizard.
Just a motel room they said, No very large and spacious very clean, Great Pool temp perfect.
An ice machine and a book swap, and our hosts were lovely.
I could have stayed here the whole two weeks.
Will be recommending to our friends.
